Title: energy rebates 2011-2012
Post by: moenaboulsi on July 28, 2011, 11:48:08 PM
hello everybody, hopefully everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Iam curious if anyone knows of the process that a hvac contractor has to go throught to set customers up on getting money back from the government for their equipment. What are his responsibilities as well as the customer's. Thanks for your feedback

All the info you need about rebates can be found - Here (http://www.hvactechgroup.com/index.php?topic=rebates)

The ecoEnergy FAQ is here - http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/residential/personal/retrofit-homes/questions-answers.cfm?attr=4

ecoEnergy rebate requirements are usually completed by the homeowner and energy auditer.  The Ontario Power Authority requires that contractors register with them to qualify for their rebates.

When your installing equipment for rebates, make sure your dealer supplies you with the ARI# for the system, and of course document the model and serial numbers of all equipment, new and old.

The province of Ontario has just announced they will be renewing their rebate program, Oct 1, 2011.  Only seniors will qualify.  This is just a pathetic ploy by Dalton to get re-elected.
