is there much in the way of ice to steam formulas or PE chart questions on the 313d exam. i have completed my apprenticeship a year ago but havent wrote yet. went over practice exam and did fine, just wondering what else to study.

The test is a joke! I got it first try. I had zero schooling when I wrote last year, just a decade or so of fixing splits. There is enough common sense questions, your experience should be sufficient. I barley understand your question, there are a few pe chart questions, but again its multiply guess. Once you see the numbers that make sense pick them, I was done in 30mins and scored 81% left to the job, had an oil tank installed by 2pm. You will do fine. (Also now that the ocof is running the show you can re-write as many times as you please, as long as you keep paying the $175)

there were a of those questions on it when I wrote 2 years ago.  Those should really be the least of your worries.  Just make sure you know heat pumps and txv's
