Title: Trane furnace
Post by: Hgye on January 08, 2016, 10:16:07 AM
Model number tdx060c938c2
Serial number r265l717g

Does anyone have an installation manual for this furnace?  I cannot find it online, anywhere.  Thanks!

I want to know if pvc for potable water was allowed at time of installation, in Ontario.  I am not sure what year this furnace is.

You can download the manual here,

I'm not sure what you're asking about using PVC.  Is that for domestic hot water?

I meant for the venting, sorry.

That doesn't appear to be the installation manual for the TDX.

On the first page of the manual, under XL 90, it says,

TDX060,080,100,120R-V

The ULC S636 venting wasn't required until August 1, 2007.

That is not the installation manual.  That is only a general data sheet.

I know ABS was allowed, but was PVC?

Sorry!  I called my Trane contact and gave him the serial number and that's all he had.

I remember during the ABS days some Lennox furnaces were vented with that same PVC.  It's unlikely you have anything to worry about.
