Reznor UDAP45

So my buddy got a good deal on a Reznor garage heater. He wants to run the vent horizontal.. do we NEED to use the Z Vent? That stuff is so pricey $$$$$. It is 4 ft max and almost 700 worth in material for venting with Z vent.

If we go vertifcal, the maximum is 10 ft of vent and we may be over his maximum height by the time we go through the attic.

Is it code to run z vent, or can can not just run C vent if its only 4-5ft??

I find those manuals (especially Mr. Heater) really unclear.

I made a post about Mr. Heater.  I think the same would apply to a Reznor installation in Ontario.  They usually ship a second venting manual you'll need to refer to.

It's my understanding horizontal venting must be stainless steel and vertical can be B-Vent.
