Poor Business and service of major manufacturerTrane and local installer Millian

My fairly new Air system broke down approx 1 1/2 old.

The installer MILLIAN -AIRE AIR CONDITIONING COMPANY FROM HUDSON FL

Installer gave me an AN ESTIMATE FOR LABOR FOR A COMPRESSOR which i DID NOT NEED ALMOST 3 TIMES HIGHER FROM A STRANGE COMPANY EVEN WORSE I DO NOT NEED AFTER WEEKS OF EXPLORING FOUND IT WAS A OBVIOUS FALSE ESTIMATE

When the technician arrived (not the REP i requested  and was promised) he explained his vast experience and even that his family was in the commercial air conditioner business,

The technician gave me some very bad news and an inflated estimate of $1643 for labor, which I later found was more than double what another company would charge for the same work.

It turns out this was gross negligence. Two other Tech came here separately from another company and within 5 min informed me that my system doesn't need a compressor. It was a coil and the Freon leaked out

This gross negligence resulted in me going without air conditioning until Nov 1, I lost my ability to work at my home office with a loss of over $2000. Millian Aire (installer company did not even accept a certified mail)

Now Trane has an assistance department (A very misleading name) which i had very difficult dealings with for several weeks many phone calls and supplying many documents which were very difficult to acquire and send by PDF the only way they would receive them. Looking for documentation making calls to acquire. Trane kept asking me for additional documentation and at the end did nothing but close my case. My impression is they used me for their own research with no intent to help with this issue. I valued my time and effort at $300 to $500
WHY DO THEY MISLEAD YOU A CONSUMER WITH AN ASSISTANCE DEPARTMENT.
I THOUGHT A CONCERNED MANUFACTURER WOULD SEND A TRUSTED REP TECHNICIAN TO EVALUATE THE ISSUE
MY QUESTION IS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED HAD I WENT ALONG WITH MILLIANE AND THEY INSTALLED A WARRANTIED COMPRESSOR AND THE SYSTEM STILL DID NOT WORK?

I will add Trane did not have the part needed for my system i was without air cond for almost 2 months in Florida
