Looking for HVAC Technicians, Ottawa, ON, Canada

We are looking to hire up to 4 technicians for a full-time, day (with some on-call) positions in our growing company.  We are looking to have you start as soon as you are able.

Pay is $20-$30/hour dependant on experience.

Job description

Required Qualifications:
- Must hold current HVAC technician license
- HVAC install, repair & maintenance: 3 years (no less)
- G level Drivers Licence
- Gas, level 2 or higher
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants
- Certification from an HVAC program at a technical school
Preferred Qualifications:
- Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Qualification
- 313D License
- OBT2 License
Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to residential homes on a daily basis, as scheduled
- Install cooling systems, heating systems, water heaters and humidifiers
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
- Conduct performance tests
- Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues and make repairs
- Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions including invoices
- Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and resources (including vehicles)
- Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain issues/concerns with clients in a way they understand
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations

COVID-19 precautions
Masks and sanitizer are provided. Appointments will be cancelled and technician informed if client calls with COVID.

Are these really standard pay in Ottawa for these? I can see a g2 for that pay.   But 313d and obt2? For 30/hr?

I'll say.  We pay $40-$45 and we are not unionized.

Sounds like a company that doesn't even know how our system works. We get licensed through the HRAI for handling refrigerants. Not the American EPA.
It also says 313D and OBt2 is preferred. Almost all these low paying online jobs looking for gas technicians always at that in. Yeah, no kidding you'll want someone with licenses that pay a lot more to apply to your lower paying job.
