Coming straight out of school I have no work experience in the field. I'm looking for the opinion of someone more experienced here, would working in sheet metal for a while (4 months, 8 months, a year, I don't know) be a good idea for someone to get something else for their resume?

I've heard both good and bad things about working sheet metal.

IMO working for an installer would be better experience. You learn about duct work and piping and electrical at the same time.

I myself have a G2 and OBT2 and now sheet metal 308R. I have been installing now for 3yrs and just received the hours for my 308R and going for my second try at 313D. Installations is the way to go and get your hours and experience.
