Charge: Part III Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification (x2).

Summary: On February 1, 2017 Ontario College of Trades inspectors conducted an inspection at a residential site located at 129 Fraser Crescent, Blue Mountains ON.  The inspectors determined that two (2) individuals were employed to perform the work of a sheet metal worker (308A) without proper qualifications, in particular, the individuals did not hold  Certificates of Qualification and were not apprentices in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement.

On May 24, 2017 1864956 o/a Fire-N-Ice Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. was convicted of the charges and the court imposed a monetary fine and issued a six (6) month probation order.
