Hello, first post here but I have read quite a lot and this forum seems to have very good knowledge.

I am in the middle of a major renovation. House has two floors, main upstairs with living/dining/kitchen/bath and a playroom, basement with 2 bath, 4 bedrooms, office, storage and mech room. Heating is water radiant basement with supplemental cove electric heaters and water radiant baseboards with a fireplace on main floor. A/C minisplit upstairs. Driven by a Bosch combi boiler and Taco on two zones/thermostats (one per floor).

I have a Lifebreath RNC155 installed in the main floor playroom closet, stale air taken from living room and return in the basement corridor.

First question: I was planning to control the HRV with an ecobee dry contacts, but wondering if I gain really much by using a dedicated control with all the functions. At my condo, I run the HRV only when I leave as I hate the noise, it's almost always off when home so I am not sure of the benefits of the standalone control.

Second question: Can I, do I connect the HRV to only one ecobee? If one, I guess the living room one (large open space) vs the basement corridor one which is not a living space?

I ran a 3 wire to the ecobee so I can go from ecobee to a standalone in the future if need be. I also ran 3 wire from each ecobee to the taco in order to have signal and power.
