I have Vanee 65H HRV currently connected to Vanee Deco touch. I want to also control the Vanne using ecobee accessory terminal. On the vanee manual, there is an option to control it using the I/OC/OL terminals without losing the Deco touch control ( I want to be able to keep controlling the HRV using the deco touch in case I want to maintain options of min/max/ 20 min). I want to also keep the interlock between the HRV and the furnace fan.

1- Apparently I can connect the I/OC/OL terminals to a dehumistat. can I use these terminals for the ecobee instead, on the ACC + / - terminals?
2- kind of related, in the summer, when I want to just bring in fresh air, can I run the HRV without the core ? At night, the temperature outside is lower then inside, so I dont want to preserve the indoor heat. I just want to bring fresh night time air into the system.

Thanks very much !

I know for sure if you connect the Ecobee ACC terminals to B and G on the HRV it will work.  I just don't know if it would work with the Deco still connected.

The I/OC/OL terminals are normally used with timers used on a dedicated system.  I believe the I terminal just powers the LED so you could try connecting OC and OL to the Ecobee ACC terminals and that may work.

In the Ecobee equipment settings you would select Ventilator, 2 Wires (ACC+ and ACC-), Heat Recovery Ventilator, and set how many minutes per hour you want it to run.

And that is an interesting question about removing the core.  It won't hurt to try and see if you're getting cooler fresh air out of the vents, but I doubt that would work as it would mess up the airflow and balancing.

It would probably be less complicated for you to just open a window.  ;D

And actually this has come up before.  You can connect the ACC+ and ACC- to the OL and OC terminals.
