Do I need to run new (more) wire to my stats?

Last week had my 22 year old, single-stage equipment replaced with 2-stage Carrier equipment - a Performance 24ACB7 AC and a Performance 59TP6 furnace.  They also installed a Honeywell HZ322 control panel.  House has two zones.  My question is whether the existing 5 wires are enough to correctly operate 2 heat, 2 cool.  I removed the loaner stats from the baseplates and saw that they wired both Y and Y2 for cooling but only W for heating.  (I attached a photo).

I understand that the control panel can operate both stages of a 2 stage furnace, even if the stat is only wired for single stage heating - but would I be sacrificing any comfort or efficiency?  I don't want to sacrifice any of the comfort or efficiency I paid for by purchasing 2 stage equipment.

Also, I would prefer WiFi stats - doesn't that require an additional (common) wire?

I would like stats that supports fan auto, on and circulate, but am told that only requires the single fan wire.

I suspect I should have the installer return and pull new wire, going from 5 to 7 or even 8.  I'd greatly appreciate any advice.  Thank you!

You could do many things. Just dont be surprised when the installer gives you a bill for pulling that wire.

If you are okey with it, no problem. I personally would havs considered it a waste of money.

What many things could I do?  Install two-piece stats that cost more and require a wireless adapter board?

You won't notice very much difference with comfort or efficiency between 2 stage heating controlled by a thermostat or the furnace control board auto staging.  2 stage cooling is good for humidity control so I would keep that.

Wifi thermostats like Ecobee will require a common wire so if you wanted to use all options you would need 7 wires.  They would likely run an 8 wire anyway so you would have the option to control a humidifier as well.

Without running more wires you could look at the Honeywell IAQ system.  You would need the EIM, Equipment Interface Module, and Redlink gateway for internet access.  This system only needs 2 wires at the thermostat.  It's not cheap though.

That's what I thought, and I'm really trying to avoid the added expense of something like the IAQ.  I may just go up into the attic and drop the wire myself, so it's ready to go when they return with the stats.

I think they were planning to install Honeywell T6 Pros.  The most common complaint I've read about them was wifi connectivity issues.  Is there another stat I should look at?  I don't have outside temp sensors and am not especially interested in dehumidify on demand or fan speed control - although I do like the circulate option the T6 Pros support (I understand that circulate will be interrupted whenever there is a call for heating or cooling).  I appreciate the advice.
