I'm looking for the proper procedure regarding a relite of gas appliances, not initial activation.

Scenario,

You have shut off the gas to the house to run a new gas line - You are a G2 certified, you have properly sized the new line tested and tagged it. But now you have to relite the existing gas appliances in the house. What are the requirements from T.S.S.A for relites?
Do I need to do a Combustion analysis on all the appliances in the house? What are my duties and responsibilities as a G2. This topic is very confusion as I can't find anything in the B code regarding a standard relite other than a Category 1 Natural Draft Boiler with a draft hood. I understand the best thing would is to check combustion, but my question is do I need to legally have to check combustion on all appliances for a standard relite? If so, what are the code references to back this up?

Thanks

Well, likely we would be blamed if anything went wrong with an appliance we never touched, but simply reactivated.

This is why it's best to do your diligence and cover your butt.

I would not go as far as combustion analysis, as you are not setting up the appliance, you are simply reactivating it.  Just keep good notes.  IE: "Reactivated water heater or furnace.  Visually inspected burner flame and vent operation.  Tested furnace high limit.  Verified no CO in ambient.  Advised client all natural gas appliances must be inspected and serviced yearly."
