"slow continuous" mode on ERV

Hi I'm looking at HRV/ERV's,  I'm wondering about a "low continuous" mode I've seen on a Panasonic Model.

I'm looking at the PANASONIC FV-10VEC2 ERV. From the manual:

"Panasonic Intelli-Balanceā„¢ 100 ERV's low, continuous run helps remove  moist, stale air and replace it with fresh air."

But not any more details on this.

Looking at other models I've seen "slow continuous" listed as a dedicated mode. But on the controls for the PANASONIC, it only has the intermittent timer settings, and no different modes listed.

Which doesn't look like it has a dedicated 'slow continuous' mode, as distinct from regular operation.

So this would just be setting it to 60 mins? And it automatically goes slower or something?

Page 14 says the factory default is 60 Min/H, which is continuous.

Page 15 has a Note that says,

QuoteIt's better that the product is operated for 24 hours in order to prevent from being frozen.

Ok thanks for your feedback.

What I thought "slow continous mode" meant, that I had seen elsewhere, would be constantly on but at a lower air exchange rate or not at the same strength as a lower intermittent setting such as 20min on 40min off.

I was assuming the reason for that would be 60 min at default strength or exchange rate might get too drafty so the "slow continuous" would allow for constant air without any noticeable gaps at a more discreet rate.

..but as you pointed out, the manual recommends it being used 24/7 so, I have to assume that's a comfortable setting, or they wouldn't have it get too drafty if that's the default.

thanks again. Eric.
