I am having an intermittent issue with a All American / Trane furnace where it shuts off unexpectedly, and shows a solid Green and Red LED on continuously.

Video Of Relay Clicking Here

If power is cycled and power back on shortly after it shuts down the control board relays make a constant loud clicking sound (can link a video,) and the blower motor starts turning up slowly, and again shows a solid Green and Red LED on continuously.

If left with power off for 10 minutes and then power turned back on, the furnace will usually start up normally with LEDs only flashing air movement as normal - and it will run fine for an hour, or a day, or a month or longer without any issues, until it then shuts off and shows a solid Green and Red LED on continuously.

On the wiring diagram (inside panel) says a solid Red LED = "Fuse Open or Internal control Failure." After a full cleaning the furnace and blower ran from August when this started until now (almost December) without any issues.

Technician cleaned the entire furnace, AC evaporator coils with HVAC coil cleaner, condensate drainage piping and duct work. Also cleaned the condenser coils outside which were dirty but evaporator (above furnace) was quite clean as filters are always changed every 2-3 months.

Control Board CNT 06585 ( Replacement: Trane CNT 07991 )

Furnace: All American ( Trane ) AUH2B060A9V3VA
Gas Furnace – Var. Speed Blower – Var. Speed Inducer – Two Stage Heat – Direct Vent - High Efficiency

Date of Manufacture: 8/2013 (10 years old of course)
Date of Installation: 10/2013

Thermostat: Honeywell RTH7600D 7-Day Programmable Thermostat. It has been installed since around 2011 and ran the original 1980s furnace before being replaced with the All American in 2013.

Already confirmed:
- Power to furnace is good (120VAC)
- Issue happens when calling for both cold (AC) and hot (gas furnace,) blower motor shuts off when "Internal control Failure" happens
- Thermostat is working properly with new batteries, wiring from thermostat is good
- Furnace filter is brand new and not heavy duty
- 5A fuse on control board is good
- All wiring is secure and double checked
- Vac tube lines are all clear and connections are good
- Condensate drain lines are good internally in furnace and externally to drain
- Condensate pump is working properly
- 2" PVC exhaust and intake pipes are clean and free of debris
- No visible burnt components or relays on the board, unable to source where exactly the clicking is coming from and don't want to run power for any duration when it is clicking like that
- No visible staining or water damage or issues internally
- Visually inspected Trane SWT 01635 thermal limit switch, Trane SWT 02685 inducer limit switch and Trane SWT 02124 flame rollout switch - all clean and connections are good - not sure how to test them

I assume the control board needs to be replaced... what do you think??

Why would you have both ac and heat calling?

seems like a control board issues to me. You can also do the poor mans stethoscope to pinpoint the clatter. You take a long screwdriver and place it on various relays while holding the handle to your ear. You'll narrow down the exact component of the noise.
