Soft Start Install Question

I want to install an ICM870-16A Soft Start on a Carrier GH5SAN 430-A.

The instructions state "not to be used on units that have control boards that sense compressor current and perform a lock out for fault conditions".

How do I check this unit to make sure it does not have that lock out feature on the board?

That unit doesn't do that. You should be fine.
