426b fact or fiction

426b, I know your wondering what it is, its an r12 system that someone has dropped 414b on top of to top it up after a leak was fixed, I didn't think it would work but I saw it on a job last week and it was running perfectly, I know mixing refrigerants isn't suggested or a good idea, but I did see it running in a system and was pretty surprised ( fyi its 414b plus 12 thats makes it 426b ) Im not saying that I condone it, but it was interesting none the less....

Rs-22 is a direct drop in for R-12 and Rs-44 is a direct drop in for R-22 without any oil change required. Maybe these generic names could be the same as what your talking about. I havent looked in to it or google it for that matter...lol....so i'm just taking a shot in the dark on your question....
