Help please! My AC stopped working last summer, so I had it replaced with a Carrier heat pump (HP) (2 ton 14 seer model#38MURAQ24AB3) by an HVAC technician. The HP worked fine during the summer for cooling, however since I started using the heat during the colder weather, both the heat pump and furnace have been not working properly.

The following are the issues:
•   Carrier heat pump issue – The heat pump would work for about a day for heat and then after about a day it would stop working until I reset it by turning the breaker off and on. The tech initially told me that it was a wiring issue so I upgraded the wiring and amperage at the breaker however the same problem persisted. The tech then told me that the HP was triggering code PC 31 (low pressure protection). The tech then told me that he spoke to Carrier and they advised him that I may have a leak in my line and need to replace the whole line. He then stated that he is unable to recall if he added additional refrigerant into my line set at install since my line may be longer than what the HP comes pre-charged with, which I believe is for a 25 foot line. My line set is approximately 35 feet long. The tech then added additional refrigerant but advised that he is unable to do a proper pressure test due to the cold weather. The HP is now triggering code PC 30 (high pressure).
•   Payne furnace issue – I have a Payne furnace which is approximately 10 years old. It worked fine before the HP was installed. During HP installation, they changed the condenser pipe to white pipe since the previous one was not up to code. Since the HP installation whenever I use the aux furnace heat, the Ecobee thermostat will go black and then reset. When this occurs, the furnace is showing 3 fast blinks and then 3 slow blinks which I believe is code 33 (high limit). When the tech inspected the furnace, we noticed that the condenser pipe, which was installed horizontally into the furnace cabinet by the tech was leaking resulting in a lot of water pooled in the cabinet of the furnace. The tech repositioned the condenser pipe to enter vertically and cleaned up the water. The leak appears to be fixed but the problem with the Ecobee resting and furnace triggering code 33 persists.
•   Additional information: When the HP was installed, they also replaced my Sensi thermostat with an Ecobee smart thermostat and installed a new humidifier, coil, and coil cabinet.
•   The tech has tried to remedy the above problems by doing the following:
o   Upgraded wiring and amperage at circuit breaker
o   Added refrigerant to HP line
o   Reset Ecobee thermostat
o   Replaced Ecobee thermostat with another Ecobee thermostat
o   Unplugged and plugged back in various wires in the furnace.
o   Vacuumed blower.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. It would be much appreciated.
