I just did a sheaves and bearing job on an old Lennox rooftop unit. The unit had been running with a worned bearing for a few months and a worn out pulley.

I don't have much experience with doing bearing and pulley's replacement, I wanna know if there's any tips and tools for removing bearings and pulley's rather than me cursing at the unit.

If you heat the pulley and hit it with a flat tipped punch perferably brass, it will come. I like to sand and oil the shaft first.
As for the bearings cut the shaft with a sawsall and take it off the  sqirrel cage, buy a new shaft they are cheep and will make your new bearings last longer since they are not riding on a grooved shaft. Oil everything you are trying to save and let it soak for a bit, it saves a lot of heartache. If the squerrel cage is not easy to move, tell the customer you might have to order a new one if it goes out of balance as it most times does.
