Very interesting HVAC career( Ontario,Canada),

but can not sure that: Should I study G3 & G2 first( faster) or Apply the College for the two years Refrigeration courses?

Any one can help?

Thank you so much

If I was in your shoes I would go and do a college course. Mohawk has a one year program that teaches about Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, and completion of this course exempts you from Level One of the apprenticeship training. It also gets you a G3 License. If you can get a job with that while doing your G2 through a night course after that would probably be the smartest way.

Just getting your gas tickets may be quicker, but in my experience at least, they don't teach you much of the trade. It was more just teaching you what is going to be on your exam. I ended up getting thrown into a job that although being technically "qualified" for, I was in no way "competent."

You can't take any refrigeration course without first being a registered apprentice. There is no 2 year course for Refrigeration that I know of. There's the air conditioning for residential that's a minimum 2.5 years full time, then there's the full refrigeration license that's 5 years full time apprenticeship.

I would think it would be tough to get registered as an apprentice for the 313A or D without having a gas license first. Someone would be taking a bigger gamble on you.
It would probably make things easier to get the g3, then g2 as quickly as possible to get yourself in the door. Hi-Mark is the fastest way.
