Hey all! First time posting. Maybe you guys could give me some insights in the industry.

I recently graduated from my third year at George Brown and I'm very eager to get back into the trade after being laid off from my previous HVAC job. Now that I am currently looking for work, it has been very very difficult to find a company within the GTA to bring me on board.

I know things aren't what they used to be and this isn't really "summer weather" but, given that it's close to July, you would think that a few HVAC companies would be hiring, or so I thought.

But that's just me seeing things from the outside, if you guys know why companies aren't hiring or anything I could do to better myself so that when I call a company, they won't just tell me "We really aren't looking right now. Why don't you send in your resume?" it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Cheers!

You should start by giving us more information with what license(s) you have? You say you recently graduated but that you were working for an hvac company, what experience and how much do you have? What type of equipment did you usually work on?
