Charge: Part III Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification (x2).

Summary: On December 19, 2016, Ontario College of Trades Inspectors received information that an unauthorized individual performed an installation of an AC unit at a Chatham residence.  The inspectors determined that one (1) individual was engaged to perform the work of a residential air conditioning systems mechanic (313D) & electrician – domestic and rural (309C) without proper qualifications, in particular, the individual did not hold a Certificate of Qualification and was not an apprentice in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement.

On April 11, 2017 30797757 o/a Green Planet Home Services Inc. was convicted of both charges and imposed a monetary fine, including a victim fine surcharge.
