Furnace humidity help

I have a very bad dry eye problem that gets oh so much worse this time of year in canada. Not sure if i should switch to hot water and run it or what i should do or how to program it (i have tons of electronic background so explanation of what to do should come easy to me, just dont want to experiment) problem is its too dry for my eyes, but not cold enough for the furnace to come on long enough to fix it.

I have Amana furnace with board Emerson 50C51-707.

Humidifier is honeywell HE225A1014. Its solenoid is connected to one wire going to one end of 24v transformer, other wire has both red and green from humidistat connected to it and goes to second on transformer. White from transformer connected to neutral wires. Brown wire connected to HUM. (not hum in/out)
