I just recently acquired by 313D licence and as soon as I got it, I noticed the lack of the red seal badge on the certificate. Upon researching I found out that the 313D only does Ontario but the 313A is red seal, unfortunately I cant challenge it because I need commercial equipment hours and the company I work for ONLY does residential.

I knew this already but my gas licence is also only applicable in Ontario but I would want one that can be applied to most provinces (if not all).

I live in a smaller town and no commercial companies are hiring, I'm also worried if I start my 313A, I would have to restart as an apprentice for like 4 years and take a huge paycut.

Has anyone gone through the process of going from 313D to 313A easier? I would love some advice

You have 5 levels of apprenticeship for the 313A, If you hold a 313D you are considered a Level 3 Apprentice for the 313A. Half the required 9000 hours is slashed to 4500. You are still required to do intermediate and advanced levels of in-class school. Any company should recognize your existing license and you should not be taking a pay cut to improve yourself further into refrigeration.

Hello, I'm currently in Humber for the tech program I wish to write my tssa g three however I have one missed class which brought my attendance below 80 in that class, what can be done about this

The Humber College website says,

QuoteExceptions will be handled on a case by case basis with supporting documentation as required.

I would speak to the professor or administrator and come up with a good excuse for that missed day.  I would use the "I just got my Covid booster" excuse and that you were suffering from side effects that day.  The College would love that.

It would be frustrating to have to pay and redo the entire course.  Maybe you offer payment in lieu of re-doing the course completely.

Just one class and you're possibly screwed? Was it the class where you're supposed to do the practical skills part of the training for the TSSA?

The G3 course as mandated by TSSA is 180 hours, 50 of which is practical. There is a minimum attendance requirement of 80%. So he missed more than 36 hours of class time.
OP, as Admin advised, talk to the college and see if you can work something out. They should be interested in your success.

I'm sure the rules were laid out clearly ahead of time as per admin's post. Welcome to big boy school, you made an adult choice, it comes with adult consequences.
There's always room for accomodation if you contacted your professor immediately, not 5 weeks later.
This isn't a question for this group, this is a question between you and your education provider, and it's not the school's rule, it's TSSA's rule. If the school bends the rules it can lose it's ability to teach the gas courses.
