I was checking the size of ac to be installed in the new home built in 2015.it has 3500 sq ft and only 60000 btuh furnace.the homeowner was looking to get the 3 to 3.5 ton air.is it possible to install that capacity air.it was goodman furnace.that furnace can go up to 1200 cfm at 0.5 in wc.Static pressure only with dip switch setting.so how can the proper size be determined in this case?

I would have the client contact the builder for the HVAC design and the AC size will be listed there.  A 3 ton would probably be what it calls for and all your furnace can accomodate.  The new F280-12 designs are really undersizing the HVAC equipment these days.

Wild. I can't believe the F280-12 would use a furnace less than 1/2 the normal size.
