Hello, hello.

I'll probably test it on monday, but figured I'll ask it here first. Has anyone ever used a PEK adapter that came from ecobee for some other thermostat that requires a common? Does it work for them?

I've never tried it, but its worth a shot

So in case you wondered. It wont work. I didnt really lose much time figuring it out, but it seems PEK fails to send proper signal to the fan to turn it on. The tstat will work, but it basically uses the Fan wire for common wire and sends nothing to the Fan terminal.

I didnt really waste time to study this though. Kind of curious what does Ecobee do that's differet, but ... there you go.

Thanks for being the guinea pig on this one.  I won't waste my time ever trying this myself.  I keep a couple of fast stats on hand for these types of situations.

Yeaaaah. But those cost money. While PEK adapters come with every ecobee3, whether you need it, or not. I've got 12 of them.
