Charge: Part III Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 4 – employing or otherwise engaging individual to engage in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.

Summary: On September 21, 2016, Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers conducted an inspection at 1174 School House Court, Blue Mountains ON. The enforcement officers determined that two (2) individuals were performing the work of a sheet metal worker (308A) without proper qualifications, in particular, the individuals did not hold Certificates of Qualification and were not apprentices in the trade working pursuant to a registered training agreement.

On March 22, 2017 Climate Control Heating and Air Conditioning #220147862 was convicted of the charge and the court imposed a monetary fine, including a victim fine surcharge.
