Can using window units vs central air cause roof damage

I have a trailer in Florida. I'm looking to use 2 window units specifically for 2 bedrooms rather than use the central air for the whole house. Could this cause damage to the inside roof of the trailer? Is the central air crucial to keep the roof's atmosphere stable?
