I am having issues with my Venmar constructo 1.5es.

When I plug it in the green light turns on, changes to solid red for a few minutes then started blinking amber.

Hrv will not run.

Changed the actuator motor but still have the same issue.

Moved the damper by hand, light went out and hrv worked for a new minutes then light started blinking again and it stopped.

Looking for some help on what to check for next.

No visible damage or issue with the transformer or electrical board.

A flashing amber light indicates a problem with the motorized damper.

During the power up sequence it should operate the damper.  Do you see this happening?

No the damper is not moving during power up sequence.

It could be the control board not sending power, a wiring problem (loose connection) or an issue with the replacement damper motor.

I would start by checking to see if there is 24V coming from the board and 24V going to the damper motor.

Just checked and have 28v coming off the board and 28v at the harness at the motor.

Twice when testing, when I had unplugged and plugged in the motor the HRV kicked on and was running for a minute then stopped and went back to flashing amber light.

Not sure if the damper was working when the unit came up but I had fan speed control with the button on the unit itself.
