I currently have a Trane SX92 2 stage furnace that isn't giving 1/2 the house enough heat.I have a temperature imbalance of 4 degrees from one side of the house to the other side.The furnace speed taps are set at  2 and 3 with the AC speed tap is set at 4 ( Trane single stage XR14 ). When it's hot in the summer the temperature is only 2 degrees difference because the AC  speed tap is set at 4.You can really feel the difference in the volume of air coming out of the registers.Can the heatings speed taps be raised higher to set off the temperature difference?

I can't find a manual for that model.

You should be able to just cut both wires connected to speed taps 3 and 4, about 6" from the board, then connect them both to the black high speed fan wire.  Then both 2nd stage heating and cooling will use the high speed fan.

If the furnace model is S9X2, see page 94 and the HTP setting.  You should be able to adjust the fan speed using the furnace control board menu and options buttons.  See page 98 for the fan speeds and CFM.

Yes my model # is S9X2B080U4PSBA.What do you recommend for the 1st stage heat and the 2nd stage heat?And where would you set the cooling tap at, since its just a single stage ac unit?

The furnace rating plate will state the temperature rise for both first stage and second stage heating and the fan speed should be adjusted to maintain those temperatures.

For the cooling speed normally 400 CFM per ton is adequate.

I would start by adjusting the second stage heating to your cooling CFM if you find it provides more even temperature. Also running the indoor fan continuously can help even out the temperatures.
