Have a Mr. cool DIY mini split that's been working great for 1.5 years.  Came to the house this weekend and the breaker was tripped and unit off (didn't have it running for the previous few weeks so that was odd).

When I start the unit after reset the blower kicks on with P1 error code.  Outdoor unit fan starts then stops.  I have 240v at the unit.

I believe that is a power supply code.  If your power supply is good then likely the control board was damaged by a surge.
