Flair Venmar ventilation unit.  Model 3055.

Hi,
Looking for a little guidance here. Replacing a motor in Venmar unit because of a bad bearing.  Got a replacement Venmar motor (Rotom) which included a capacitor.  I understand that the two brown wires hook up to the new capacitor.....but where!!! i don't wanna fry the thing!!!

The capacitor in the picture has 2 terminals.  It doesn't matter which brown wire you use.  Install the first brown wire to one terminal and the second brown wire to the other terminal.  Each terminal has 4 stake on connectors and it doesn't matter which one is used.

There were a couple recalls issued for the Flair 3055 model.

Units manufactured between 1991 and 2001 - Recall

Units manufactured between 2002 and 2009 - Recall

I believe Venmar will mail you an adapter to plug into the HRV and outlet to prevent the motor from overheating and catching fire.
