Significant Changes to the Employment Standards Act
Are You Ready?

The media has been afire over the new law, Bill 148; Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs. This contentious Bill brings sweeping changes to the Employment Standards Act (ESA).

Most of the media focus has been on increases to minimum wage; however, there are other changes that will have a significant impact and cost on small businesses.

In this session, Sara Maenhaut, Principal Consultant at North Star HR Solutions will risk being the unpopular person in the room as she describes the changes to the ESA that will affect non-unionized Manufacturers, Wholesalers, and Contractors the most:

•       Common Employers
•       Independent Contractors
•       Employee Schedules
•       On-Call Pay
•       Overtime
•       Public Holiday Pay
•       Vacation Time
•       And much, much more

This is an informative session for owners, managers, and payroll processors.

Participants will leave with the knowledge and the tools necessary to comply with the new ESA.
