Happy New Year all,

Goodman GMVC96. Blower comes on 5 sec after call for heat. Instructions say this is selectable to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 sec. I would like to select 30 sec but there is nothing in the instructions that indicate how to do this. Dip switches only allow for blower off delay. Or can this only be accessed through a comfortnet TStat? It is presently using an Ecobee tstat. Also there is no AC at this house.

Any help appreciated!!

I believe you need to use a communicating thermostat in order to change that setting, and only the blower off delay can be changed using the control board switches.  I know some of the newer models have a bluetooth board.  You may be able to adjust that setting using the
CoolCloud HVAC™ App.

Thanks for the reply. This furnace doesn't support CoolCloudHAC. Seems kind of stupid to start blower for 30 seconds before gas valve opens. This is a very old house (1896) with a deep, cold basement and rubble stone walls. I was hoping for a simple solution or work around. They are not going to spring for a comfort net tstat.

Make sure that your eco bee is set for gas furnace. If you have it set to electric, the blower will come on right away.Set for gas the you will have the standard 30 second delay before indoor blower motor comes on after a call for heat

Problem solved. The ecobee was set to having the TStat control the stages instead of the furnace doing it.I switches it to letting the board decide and now the standard 30 sec delay is default. Not sure why the TStat would choose that option but at least it's resolved. Thanks guys for steering me to the stat. I was only banging my head against the wall for a short time;)
