What does everyone pay for insurance here? The standard 2 million liability, I'm looking at about $130 a month. Anyone getting it for less, if so which company you with?
I guess I should specify this is just concerning Canadian companies.

You should look at the "Hard Hat" policy for contractors.

It gives you 2 million dollars in liability, tools & equipment coverage, business disruptions and employee dishonesty (theft) coverage.  There are other factors to consider such as office space, does it have an alarm etc...

As for payment they usually offer the entire premium payable within 30 days of the effective date of the Policy or payable monthly.  The monthly premiums (including 8% sales tax and 3% service charge) would be $101.97 with the one year term or $99.42 for a two year term Policy.
