Yes the exhaust vent could contain CO.  I imagine if the furnace is operating the windows are closed so I would be looking inside the house for the source.

You're right the wood fireplace can cause CO, but if it's vented properly it's unlikely the cause.  I have seen VOC's (Volatile organic compounds) in new furniture that could cause a CO alarm but there were no symptoms of CO with the people living in the house.

What appliances are on propane?  Are any vented in ABS venting that might be cacked?

There's not much you can do without taking some CO readings in the house.  I would also test the flue gas in the appliance vents to see if any CO is being produced.  There's likely a reason the appliances are creating CO, if any.  Look for flame impingement, overfired gas pressure or a plugged secondary heat exchanger.  I would also make sure there were no cracks in the primary heat exchanger.

Do the clients have a CO detector in the house and was it alarming?

yes there is a dectetor in the house and it reads 0 and no alarms going off the 2 windows are closed but not the greatest shape you can feel some draft he gets a northwind and thats when the exaust goes by the windows  and he also said when he gets fueled up he can smell it after the company leaves for a few days later it doesnt make sense to me he says when there at the window over by the sink he sees the exaust going by and mayby its coming in . i got  a snifit im going to try tommorrow where the exaust comes out the wall he put a roof there and to me the exust is bieng carried by the wind an swirling around . the furnace is the only appliance in the house im going to take the exaust away from the house by extending a piece of pipe off of the 90 degree elbow about a foot and a half from the house that should keep it away from everything  the furnace is all 636 new last fall installed by my guys . hound13
