I installed a lot of furnaces ,  I have to say its all the same .  Except for Goodman .  Goodman sucks.  Don't know why but ive only had issues with brand new goodmans.  Honesltly , I like anything with a PSC motor .  I don't like the ECM or variable speed motors.  too many issues / expensive to replace if not under warranty

Well everything is ECM now.  I find Goodman's have the least amount of problems and are by far the easiest to service.  I don't install Goodman's just what I see from a service perspective.

I've been installing Continentals the last few years, easy install, no issues to speak of as of yet.

Interesting stuff ... I've installed hundreds of Ducane furnaces (PSC motors). (single stage , 96% efficient,  only one pressure switch   :)   )  The call back rate is minimal (next to none )

These new fancy 2 stage furnaces have too many bells and whistles.   i.e  3 pressure switches , The ECM motors i find they are garbage .  Made in China .. I feel sorry for homeowners when the warranty runs out.    I'd really be interested to know how much they actually save on energy.

Is it even worth it ?  I could be wrong but those are my 2 cents
