Hi,

I'm looking to install Vanee 60H+ ERV. I'm going for a "simplified" configuration with furnace blower interlock.

I have an area in my house that's a bit further from the furnace but it affords an easy pathway to the backyard. Drilling through the outside walls in this area would be easy, and there is lots of space to place the ERV unit. The pipe runs would be short. Basically an ideal spot.

Problem is, it's so far "down the line" that I would be skipping several return duct branches that lead to the basement and the main level (living room + kitchen). I only have one return duct / register on each floor.

I am no expert, but something tells me it's not ideal. I would feed the fresh air (via ERV) but the basement and main floor air would not have an opportunity to be refreshed. I know it's a continuous system / loop so the air would get a change to refresh eventually, but I am not sure of this.

Anyhow, if there is NO issue placing the using further away then that would be great, otherwise I'll place it closer. I've drawn up a basic diagram to illustrate.

Thanks!!
