gas pipe behind drywall

Hello

I'm looking to finish my laundry room. Can I enclose the black pipe running to my dryer behind drywall it has one coupling connected. I was going to use a dryer vent box so the shutoff would be exposed

I live in Ontario if that make a difference

Yes. It's perfectly fine to do so per Ontario code. Especially being black iron.
