AC Installs Which Service Valve to Open First?

I have always been taught to open the suction valve first but noticed the Goodman installation manual Page 7 says,

Break vacuum by fully opening liquid service valve.

Now I read in the Daikin DX16 manual Page 6 it says, 

Open the suction service valve first! If the liquid service valve is opened first, oil from the compressor may be drawn into the indoor coil TXV, restricting refrigerant flow and affecting operation of the system.

I wonder why Goodman says to open the liquid service valve first?  The manuals seem almost identical, except Goodman wants a 500 micron vacuum and Daikin 250 microns.

Goodman says that is a mistake in their manuals, and to open the suction valve first.
