We have an older VanEE DUO 1.9 energy recovery unit in our house which I installed back when I first joined HVAC-Talk in about 2004 or so.  It has been a good unit.  I had to have the motor guts replaced by our HVAC contractor when our house got hit by lightning about 2010 and I have replaced the damper assembly (SV13734) twice in its life.

Upon the house being colder than normal during the last cold snap this winter, I discovered the damper motor is not pulling the damper closed again.  Upon looking for SV 13734, I have found the assembly is discontinued.

Asking our HVAC contractor we have our service plan thru, he is not able to find replacement parts.

In trying to find just the 645F 110V 60Hz 6W 1RPM (or 60RPH) Synchron damper motor part of the assembly, I have been stumped.  It appears the 38586R damper motor with those requirements is not available either.  All I can find seems to be 24V damper motors.

For your customers in my situation:
1. Does anyone know of a source for 110V Synchron motors like the 38586R I need?
2. Has anyone converted the 110V to 24V to use a newer damper motor?
3. Any other advice or help to repair my unit?

Thanks in advance for the help!
