HVAC Field Service Specialist

The Mergis Group has an immediate need for a HVAC Field Service Specialist to fill a full-time position in Ottawa with one of our clients.

The successful candidate will join a team that installs and maintains the systems that help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient. Our client's critical building systems include heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing commercial building automation systems at assigned customer sites.
Performing corrective and preventative maintenance tasks at assigned customer sites
On-call after hours on a rotational basis to respond to customer emergencies on as needed basis.

Qualifications:

HVAC Automation Technician, experience with DDC controls
Community College Technical Diploma/University Degree.
Bilingual French/English
Eligible for Government of Canada Security Clearances
Excellent customer relationship skills.
Team oriented individual with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self directed.
Experience in various customer markets including Government, Commercial and Health Care.
Experience with various products and designs.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills for electronics, programming and systems operation.
Knowledge of server based systems on various operating systems.
Formal programming training
Network configuration knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative to learn new products and systems.

Salary: $60,000.00 per year
