Refrigeration Technician needed in Silver Spring, MD

Position Summary:
Service technicians will perform routine maintenance procedures on refrigerators, freezers, ovens, and incubators.  Perform equipment calibration for equipment used in biotechnology applications after on the job training has been provided.

Major Duties:
•Perform repair and preventive maintenance on refrigerators, ovens, incubators, and freezers.
•Execute calibrations for lab equipment (on the job training provided).
•Troubleshoot equipment out of specification results.
•Perform temperature mapping of storage units (on the job training provided).
•Perform all equipment calibrations in accordance to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).  On the job cGMP training will be provided.
•Train junior level technicians and other personnel as needed.
•Acquire knowledge through on the job training.
•Track preventive maintenance and calibration activities.

Qualifications: 
•Prefer 10+ years practical field experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration industry (experience with -80 freezers). 
•Physically able to climb and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
•EPA Universal Certification 
•Must be a U.S. Citizen

Requirements:
•Must have good communication skills with team and customers and ensure timely completion of all jobs.   
•This position is located in Silver Spring, MD at WRAIR Pilot Bioproduction Facility.  Some travel may be required.
