Air Conditioning System Designer

SV RHConseil (HR and recruitment consulting company) has an immediate need for an Air Conditioning System Designer to fill a full-time position in Montreal with one of our clients, specializing in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.

Under the responsibility of the director of research and development, the air conditioning designer ensures the development, the design, manufacturing and the after sales follow-up
of air conditioning systems tailored to the needs of the customers.

Responsibilities:
? Elaborates and interprets  plans, drawings and technical specifications;
? Sees to the conception of air conditioning sketches as per the customers requests;
?  Proposes  efficient technical  alternatives for the customer and  profitable for the company;
? Researches and selects components having the best quality/price;
? Tests and analyses the equipment and components to determine the productivity, power and the stress resistance and other characteristics;
? Acts as the go-to person for the CSA, ETL... inspectors during system approvals or audits;
? Keeps up to date the standard regulations of the CSA, ETL, CEE and ensures their respect;
? Establishes the list of components to order for each unit to build;
? Evaluates the total necessary hours of the air conditioning manufacturing projects;
? Estimates the cost for bids;
? Manages technical documents of manufacturing files of products;
? Prepares installation, service manuals and catalogues.
? Participates in development projects and makes suggestions for new products or to improve existing products following analysis and tests.

 
Qualifications:

Bachelor or Mechanical Engineering Technique
Over 8 years experience in design equivalent experience
Excellent knowledge of the air conditioning industry and its manufacturing techniques
Start-up or installation experience (asset)
Basic French needed
