i have a 3 pole contactor that the 24 volt coil shorted out and transformer popped i put in a new contactor in the condensing unit and a transformer with a breaker it ran for a day and then the coil on the new contactor shorted out and tripped the breaker on the transformer i can not figure out what is causing the 24 volt coil to keep shorting traced out all wiring everything looks good but never had this issue before with the low voltage side going to dead short and figuring out what is doing it any help will be appreciated

Is the transformer inside the house, connected to the outdoor contactor with 2 wire?
I would just run new wire, it will save alot of time troubleshooting that kind of problem.  If nothing has been touched inside the house, ie renovations in basement or work done on furnace, I would suspect possible rodent damage outside.

You could use a audible ohm meter and test the wiring for continuity.  Try jiggling the wire while you do, this may cause the fault to occur.
