Pipe size from meter

So the gas meter has a 1" pipe entering the home, I want to connect from the meter main a 1 1/4 inch pipe with a 50' run, is that oki ? Nothing in the code mentions otherwise

You're good to go.  In some cases the gas distributor will upgrade the gas meter to a 1-1/4" port, but that is usually not required.
